I've downloaded and have it running (yes, I'm running Windows). You can do a Google search for 'satellite tracking program' (search without the quotes) and look at the results to find a program that you like, it depends on your personal preferences (graphics, information displayed etc). I suggest you use a Windows tracking program for best results, I am assuming you are using Windows, if you are using a Mac, I don't know what to use. You could use ORBITRON, it works well in Windows, here is the web page for it for more information. Originally written by sts1canada ( 3:44 PM) Very cool and very accurate, works great in tandem with Heavans Above flyover predictions.with the added bonus of a "radar alarm" letting you know when it's getting close.Any further questions post em here. I won't bother re-writing what Richard (sts1canada) sent to me because it's very thorough and will get you set up in just a few minutes of your time. Sorry for the delay for any of you that may have wanted further details into using Orbitron to track the the ISS/Shuttle (among hundreds of other satellites). Feel free to PM me or email until the messaging issue is cleared up. In fact I took the files and created them ahead of time and then just popped them in based on MET. (anyone else have this issue?) Just so you know I did follow your steps and was able to update each TLE as needed. Richard, I got your PMs but for some reason I can not reply or create new ones through NSF at this time. I will add several condensed emails from Richard and others that have allowed me to track and display the postions as accurately as possible using FREE software anyone can use. If you're interested in this, post your questions, thoughts and additional info you may have here. As a bonus, if this is done correctly you can receive automatic notification when a flyover is coming, if it will be visible or not (eclipsed) and where to look. This is aimed at those who are interested in accurately tracking missions on their own systems instead of relying on a quick sceen shot on NASAtv or some websites with approximate data. With the help of Richard (sts1canada) I/we decided to start a thread about setting up your own desktop tracking application.
